About Neil

Dr. Neil Slade

  Dr Neil Slade

BSc(Hons) PhD DIC LCH CBiol MIBiol

Dr Neil Slade studied homeopathy at the College of Homeopathy, London. After four years he graduated with a distinction in each of his case submissions. He has a PhD in infectious diseases from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London. He is a member of the Society of Homeopaths and the Insitute of Biology. He is a Chartered Biologist. Neil is registered with the British Complementary Medicine Association.

Neil treats all areas of health, from the concerns of the very young to the very old, although emphasising that prevention is better than cure. However, he has particular interests in men's health, the use of complementary medicine in the support of people living with HIV/Aids and infertility.

In April 2000 Neil helped to establish Pure Medicine based in London's Harley Street with his colleague, Jon Welbeck-Pure. Neil is the Deputy Director of Pure Medicine where he also practices as a homeopath. He augments typical homeopathic methods with the use of the QXCI apparatus and live blood analysis using dark field microscopy. Pure Medicine is an integrated complementary medicine clinic where practitioners of different therapies work together to provide the best care possible for patients.

Neil is a senior lecturer and regularly lectures in homeopathy, anatomy, physiology and pathology at several colleges of complementary medicine. He has produced a series of videos based on his biomedical science lectures at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and these will be available soon. In 2001 he was awarded the CNM certificate for 'Best Lecturer' in biomedical sciences.

Neil's many articles can be found in a variety of magazines and health journals. He is the resident homeopathy contributor in Positive Health magazine, writing a regular case study column (see links). Neil also wrote his own 'Doc Spot' for the Mirror's M magazine, and can often be found on television and radio discussing homeopathic and naturopathic medicine. Neil now writes for the What Really Works website (see links).

In December 2003 Neil was awarded the CNM certificate for 'Best CNM Lecturer' as voted for by the students.

Testimonials
"When I was told that I had polycystic ovaries and that my chances of falling pregnant were very low my world caved in. However, I was recommended to Neil and thanks to him and homeopathy I now have a lovely baby boy. It was a long haul but worth every minute of it." - Mrs M.V-I.
